KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Firearms and Narcotics Investigation Division (FNID) seized 134 kilograms (295 pounds) of cocaine valued at over US$500 million during an operation in St. Andrew on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
The operation took place at an apartment complex in Charlton Court and led to the arrest of 63-year-old property manager Allan Patrick Constable. He has been charged under the Dangerous Drugs Act with possession, dealing, and trafficking cocaine, conspiracy to traffic cocaine, and possession of criminal property.
This significant seizure comes on the heels of other recent anti-drug operations. On Monday, January 6, 2025, Christopher Keddo was apprehended in St. James after authorities discovered 42 pounds of cocaine. Additionally, a St. Elizabeth farmer, George Scott, was arrested on Thursday, January 9, 2025, in possession of 2.3 kilograms of cocaine.
The FNID highlighted these operations as part of its continued efforts to combat narcotics trafficking in Jamaica, reaffirming its dedication to disrupting drug networks and reducing the illegal drug trade across the island.
Further investigations are underway as authorities work to identify and dismantle the larger networks involved in these operations.
