Jamaican dancehall entertainer Flippa Moggela is once again making headlines after reports surfaced that he is facing new drug-related charges in the United States.
Federal prosecutors in New Jersey reportedly charged the artiste, whose real name is Andrew Kendrick Davis, in connection with an alleged drug conspiracy involving cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine distribution between 2025 and 2026.
According to reports, Flippa Moggela appeared before a US magistrate judge earlier this week and remains in custody while awaiting a bail hearing. Authorities have not yet disclosed the full details of the investigation or announced when the matter will return to court.
The latest development marks another major legal setback for the dancehall artiste, who previously served time in a high-profile US drug trafficking and money laundering case. In 2016, Davis was sentenced following his involvement in what authorities described as a large narcotics operation known as “Operation Next Day Air.”
After being released from prison in 2022, Flippa Moggela returned to the entertainment industry and resumed recording music and performing for fans locally and overseas.
Known in dancehall circles as the “Flossing King,” the artiste gained popularity with songs including Dem Yah, Own Don, and Inna Mi Zone. His flashy lifestyle and outspoken personality helped him build a strong following within Jamaica’s dancehall community.
News of the alleged new charges has generated widespread discussion on social media, with many fans expressing shock at the reports surrounding the entertainer.
US prosecutors have not yet released additional information regarding possible trial dates or further court proceedings as the investigation continues
