DUHANEY PARK, St Andrew — A Taurus 9mm pistol, along with a magazine containing eleven 9mm cartridges, was seized during a police operation in Duhaney Park, St Andrew, on Monday afternoon.
According to reports from the Duhaney Park Police, the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. when officers on a routine operation stopped and searched a motor car. During the search, the firearm was discovered inside the vehicle.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) confirmed that one individual has been taken into custody in connection with the seizure.
The investigation remains ongoing, as law enforcement continues to gather details about the circumstances surrounding the firearm and its possession.
