Firearm Licensing Authority Dismissed Officers Plan to Take Legal Action

Kingston, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Firearm Licensing Authority Dismissed Officers: Three dismissed officers of the Firearm Licensing Authority are planning to take legal action against the government over their recent dismissal.

They are Michael Dixon, Andrew Gordon and Milton Reid.

Attorney-at-law John Junor of the firm “Knight Junor and Samuels” disclosed today that the firm is representing the three dismissed officers.

Junor said that lawyers in the firm were now in the process of taking instructions from the dismissed workers.

Junor said he advised the officers to report the matter to the Office of the Contractor General and they have done so.

Junor said they were taking further instructions from the dismissed officers with a view to filing a wrongful dismissal claim against the government.

He said they were also exploring the possibility of filing a defamation suit against the various media houses that have carried articles that are injurious to the character of the dismissed FLA officers.
