Manchester, Jamaica — A firearm was discovered in a garbage bin at a bar in Pike district, Manchester, early Thursday morning. The Manchester police reported that around 1:00 a.m., a patrol team conducted a surprise raid at the establishment, leading to the seizure of a 9mm single-action pistol with its serial number erased.
While no arrests were made in connection to the firearm, the bar operator, who also serves as the bartender, was taken into custody. The operator has been charged with breaching the Spirit License Act and operating the bar beyond legal hours. The authorities continue to investigate the origin of the firearm.
