MONTEGO BAY, ST JAMES — The Barnett Street police have charged a 54-year-old vendor after discovering a quantity of ganja and illegal ammunition in her vehicle on Saturday night along Jimmy Cliff Boulevard in Montego Bay.
The accused has been identified as Alicia Miller of Providence Heights, Flankers, St James.
Reports indicate that around 10:30 p.m., officers, acting on information received, conducted a search of Miller’s vehicle, which was parked near the Old Hospital on Jimmy Cliff Boulevard.
During the search, police found a black sock containing eight live 9mm cartridges hidden behind the driver’s seat. Additionally, a camouflage bag on the driver’s seat contained 17 small wraps of ganja, along with J$10,000 and US$104.
Miller was taken into custody and has since been charged.
