SPANISH TOWN, ST CATHERINE — The Spanish Town police have arrested and charged a woman for allegedly stabbing her baby father to death during an altercation at her home on Wednesday evening, June 26.
The accused, 21-year-old Antoinette Pitt, also known as ‘Shini,’ of John’s Road in Spanish Town, has been charged with the murder of 26-year-old Lashan Parker, also of St John’s Road.
According to police reports, the incident occurred around 7:00 p.m. when Parker visited Pitt’s home. An argument quickly ensued between the two, escalating into a physical confrontation. During the altercation, Pitt allegedly used a knife to stab Parker in the upper body before fleeing her residence.
Residents assisted Parker to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The incident was reported to the police.
Following an investigation, Pitt turned herself in and was subsequently charged.
