Burnt Savanna, St Elizabeth — Police have launched a murder investigation following the fatal shooting of a farmer in Burnt Savanna on Monday night.
The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Winston Gray, a resident of the Burnt Savanna district.
According to reports, around 8:30 p.m., residents heard several loud explosions. Upon investigating, they discovered Gray lying on a roadway with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds.
He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Investigators from the St Elizabeth Police Division are continuing their probe into the circumstances surrounding the killing. No motive has been established, and no arrests have been made at this time.
