Denbigh Agricultural Food Show: The upcoming Denbigh Agricultural, Industrial, and Food Show is seeing unprecedented interest from potential exhibitors, according to Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Mining, Hon. Floyd Green.
“Compared to last year, we’ve already received 20% more requests from exhibitors eager to participate,” Mr. Green announced during the launch of the event’s 70th edition at the Hi-Pro Ace Supercentre in White Marl, St. Catherine on June 21.
Scheduled from Sunday, August 4 to Tuesday, August 6, at the Denbigh Show Grounds in May Pen, Clarendon, the Denbigh Agricultural, Industrial, and Food Show is renowned as the Caribbean’s largest agricultural exposition, featuring over 100 exhibitors showcasing a diverse array of agricultural-related booths and seminars.
“Denbigh is not just a show; it’s a reflection of our agricultural progress and excellence,” Minister Green emphasized. “It provides a vital platform for modern agricultural practices, supports our farmers, and offers family-friendly entertainment.”
Mr. Green also praised the resilience of Jamaica’s farmers in sustaining agricultural growth despite challenging conditions like drought. He highlighted the record-high local onion production and reiterated the government’s commitment to incentivizing sectoral growth and supporting related industries.
With its history of attracting over 80,000 patrons, the Denbigh Agricultural, Industrial, and Food Show continues to set the benchmark for promoting agriculture and allied industries across the region.
