KINGSTON, Jamaica – A woman was shot and killed shot and killed in the restroom of a club located along South Odeon Avenue in Kingston early Friday morning. Her ex-boyfriend, reportedly an ex-soldier, has been taken into police custody hours after the tragic incident.
The victim has been identified as Rochelle Mason, a hairdresser from Denver Crescent, Marverley, Kingston 20,
According to reports, around 12:30 a.m., Mason was attending a party at the venue when she was confronted by her ex-lover, who dragged her into the restroom. Moments later, a loud explosion was heard, and the man was seen leaving the scene.
A patron who went to investigate discovered Mason in the restroom, sitting in a pool of blood with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to her mouth. The police were summoned, and upon their arrival, Mason was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Authorities launched an investigation, and the suspect was apprehended hours later.
