A 74-year-old farmer and landscaper has died following a motorcycle collision along the Wakefield main road in Trelawny Parish on Saturday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Oscar Delroy Russell of Albion District in St. James.
Reports indicate that about 5:50 p.m., Mr. Russell was standing near the gate of a Seventh-day Adventist church in the vicinity of Wakefield Primary School when a motorcycle traveling toward Friendship District lost control and struck him.
The motorcycle was being operated by Dylan Henry, a 26-year-old tiler otherwise known as “Guzo,” of Friendship District, Trelawny. Witnesses reported that Henry was performing stunts, including riding on one wheel, when he lost control of the bike and collided with the elderly man.
