Jamaica Crime News, St Ann: Detectives attached to the St Ann Bay Police Station are now carrying out an investigation surrounding the death of an elderly man, whose body was discovered with multiple chop wounds and dumped in a public water tank in Moneague on Monday evening, October 29.
The deceased has been identified as Errol Slew, otherwise called “Sluppy” 65-year-old farmer of Taylor Corner in Gibraltar district also in Moneague.
Reports by the Moneague police are that about 5:30 p.m., residents in the community went to fetch water from the public tank and stumbled upon the body, which was floating in the water.
The police were summoned and upon their arrival the body was fished from the tank.
Observations revealed that the victim had multiple chop wounds to his upper body and a machete which is believed to be the murder weapon, was discovered beside the body.
