In an interview with McKoy’s News,   Mrs.  Powell proudly spoke about the technique she uses to teach her students.

‘’I am not surprised where the results are concerned,” she said, “I had the opportunity to work these children and I am aware that they are very bright kids, I am not shocked. Unlike most schools, we accept children that have challenges especially the boys, we work with them, we examine how they learn, we look at their learning styles then teach accordingly, we do not teach them as a group but as individuals. I can proudly say,  that was the formula that contributed to these satisfactory  results .”

The ecstatic Principal went on to highlight some of the top schools which the students were placed.

This year is another special year for the school and staff like wise. I can emphasize that we have a 100 percent in GSAT  passes for this year and to highlight we have 3 passes for Munro,  2 for Kingston College,  1 for Westwood High,  1 for Campion,  2 for Montego Bay High, 2 for Manning,  1 for Mt Alvernia and 1 Cornwall College.  A few of these children were also enrolled here under my Special Education  Program, one passed for Munro, the other for  Mannings.  We work with kids that have  learning difficulties, we  make accommodations for them in order for them to grasp the concept of learning.”
