Diddy Sentencing Date Set: Mark your calendars — Sean “Diddy” Combs now has an official sentencing date for his federal prostitution conviction.
On Monday, Judge Arun Subramanian set Diddy’s sentencing for October 3, the same date he had suggested last week when the music mogul was convicted on two charges of transporting male prostitutes for sex.
Diddy remains in custody until then, and by the time of sentencing, he will have already served over a year behind bars — which will count toward his sentence.
The Bad Boy Records founder faces a maximum of 20 years in prison — ten years for each count — though legal experts say he’s unlikely to receive the maximum penalty.

Meanwhile, Diddy’s defense team and federal prosecutors continue to spar over sentencing guidelines. His attorneys argue the guidelines start at 21 months, while prosecutors insist they begin at 51 months.
Ultimately, Judge Subramanian will decide Diddy’s fate when he returns to court this October.
