Dear McKoy: Afraid to be a Mother– I lost my dad at a very young age and my mom never showed me love. My fiancé and I have been discussing kids for a while now and he has made it clear that he wants a big family but the truth is that I don’t. I am afraid that I will not know how to love them.
What should I do? I am afraid I will lose him if I tell him I am not interested in having kids.

Dear Cold Soul,
It’s understandable why you’re afraid to have kids. We know a lot of people don’t have kids because they are afraid to be a failure as a parent. You should let your fiancé know how you feel. Maybe then you’ll be able to discuss and see where you can go from there.
If you decide to have children I am sure you will learn to love them in your own way. The bond between a mother and child is unlike any other. All the best!
