Common-law Couple Arrested for Illegal Firearm Seized

Jamaica Crime News, Clarendon: A man and his common-law wife were taken into custody in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm, which was seized at their home in Rocky Settlement, Clarendon, on Monday morning, October 1.

The names of the two accused are being withheld pending further investigations.

The May Pen Police have reported that about 7:00 a.m. on Monday,  a team of officers carried out an operation at a section of Rocky Settlement known as Oyster Drive.

During the operation, a house occupied by both accused was searched and the weapon, a  .357  magnum was discovered wrapped in a plastic bag, concealed in a toilet tank.

Both accused were taken into custody.
