Clarendon — A female detainee at Four Paths Police Station was rushed to May Pen Hospital after a knife was found inside her body, prompting emergency surgery.
The incident occurred on Saturday, February 8, when the woman reported feeling unwell. Hospital staff conducted an X-ray, which revealed the knife, leading to immediate surgical intervention.
Following the operation, she remained hospitalized for monitoring and additional care.
Police have launched an investigation to determine how the knife came to be inside the detainee’s body and to clarify the circumstances of the case.
