Gunman on the Run After Deadly Linstead Shooting

Linstead, St Catherine — Police in St Catherine are searching for a gunman who opened fire on three men along Peck Street in Linstead early Saturday morning, leaving one dead and two others injured.

The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old labourer Jason Martin of Russell Pen and Time and Patience district. The injured victims, a 57-year-old mason and a 46-year-old man from Bog Walk, remain hospitalized.

Reports indicate that around 4:00 a.m., the three men were sitting along Peck Street, also known as “Back Road,” near Calvin’s Plaza when a lone gunman approached, pulled a handgun, and began shooting.
