KINGSTON – Bustamante Hospital for Children is in mourning following the death of Mrs. Beverley Senior‑Berry, Director of Nursing Services. She passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, after battling a period of illness.
Mrs. Senior‑Berry’s career spanned over 30 years in Jamaica’s public health sector. She began at Bustamante in June 1993, later serving as Director of Nursing Services at Princess Margaret Hospital in 2019, before returning to Bustamante in December 2020, where she remained until her passing.
SERHA Chief Executive Officer Anthony Wood praised her dedication. “Mrs. Senior‑Berry was a committed professional who cared deeply for her staff and patients alike. Her leadership and compassion will be sorely missed,” he said.
The South East Regional Health Authority has extended sincere condolences to her family, colleagues, and the hospital team, recognizing her decades of service and significant impact on paediatric healthcare in Jamaica.
Her passing marks the loss of a respected and beloved figure in the country’s healthcare system, remembered for her professionalism, commitment, and unwavering service to patients.
