Bullet Proof Vests, Remington Gun Hidden in St James Bushes

St James, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) — Gun Hidden in St James Bushes: a Joint Military operation which was carried out in the Adelphi policing area of St James on Monday, February 12, resulted in the seizure of an illegal shotgun, two ballistic vests and a magazine.

Reports are that shortly after 1:30 pm., on Monday, February 12 a joint military team and members of the Caribbean Search Centre carried out a search operation in sections of the Adelphi policing areas, St James.

The lawmen then searched a premises and it’s surroundings at a section of the Content community known as Love Lane. During the search of bushes they stumbled upon a Remington Shotgun, two bullet proof vests and an extended 9mm magazine.

No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.

The Police and the Military have formed that “Joint Military Forces” to combat the surge of crime in St James and neighbouring parishes, as the State of Emergency in St James will continue until May 2, 2018.
