The St. Andrew police have confirmed the discovery of the body of 20-year-old Alrick Moncrieffe, who was washed away by floodwaters during Hurricane Beryl in Havana, Arnett Gardens, St. Andrew, last Wednesday.
The body was found around 10:00 am on Thursday in stagnant water near the Petrojam Plant in Kingston.
According to reports, Moncrieffe was playing football with friends in Arnett Gardens when the ball fell into a gully. As he attempted to retrieve it, a sudden flood of water swept him away.
His body was discovered on Thursday by members of the Marine Police search team and community members.
