Kingston, Jamaica: Sandz Toronto, held this weekend in Uxbridge, Ontario, was a huge success, drawing large crowds who came out to enjoy the ‘People’s Festival’. The event kicked off shortly after 2 PM, with groups of patrons arriving, eager to enjoy the festival. Throughout the event, music was provided by Ricky Platinum, Creep Chromatic, Chippy Don, and DJ Flare.
As the event progressed, dancehall artiste Skeng electrified the stage with his hit single ‘London’, turning the crowd into his choir. He performed several popular tracks, including ‘Eediattt’, ‘Talibhan’, and ‘Likkle Miss Remix’, which culminated in him diving into a sea of ladies at the front of the stage. Skeng then welcomed Kraff to the stage, who kicked off his set with ‘Rum Behavior’, followed by ‘100 Watt’, thrilling the enthusiastic crowd. Hit after hit, both artistes performed back-to-back, keeping the audience in a frenzy. Kraff then introduced international recording artiste Pressa, much to the crowd’s delight. Known for his collaborations with Tory Lanez on ‘Canada Goose’ and Coi Leray on ‘Attachment’, Pressa had the audience singing along with every track. The crowd’s energy was palpable, reflecting their satisfaction with the overall entertainment experience.
Sandz Toronto, joins Florida, and New York’s recent staging as successful, cementing the promoter’s dedication to patron safety and enjoyment. Andrew Ellis, CEO of Twenty 14 Limited(curators of Sandz Caribbean Music Festival), expressed his satisfaction, “I am incredibly pleased with the success of our events. All our events have seen tremendous growth and it’s clear that our innovative approach is resonating with our audience. We are committed to keeping the best interests of our patrons at the forefront, ensuring each experience is better than the last”.

The festival returns to Jamaica to celebrate Sandz X (10-year anniversary), on Emancipation Day, August 1, at Shazz Grounds, St. Ann. The year will conclude with a grand event on October 20 in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, a new market added due to popular demand. Ellis shared, “St. Ann is like a second home to us, but St. Elizabeth is a new market that we are excited to venture in. We see the struggles they have been facing because of Hurricane Beryl and are eager to lend a helping hand through care packages to be distributed by our team in the coming week”. He added “For both stagings we are coming home to the authentic Sandz where we not so focused on the performances but focus on people taking their crew, cooler, and vibes to the event”.
Andrew Ellis also announced Sandz Vacation: Thailand, capitalizing on the recent news that Jamaicans no longer need a visa to travel to Thailand. This unique offering will feature an 8-day, 7-night adventure filled with parties and cultural experiences.
