A grim discovery was made earlier today along the York Town–Parnassus main road in Clarendon, where a body was found in bushes near the roadway.
The deceased is believed to be 42-year-old former detective corporal Sylvester Reid, who had been reported missing since Tuesday, April 14.
Reid was previously assigned to the Clarendon Division during his time in the police force.
Authorities have not yet released full details surrounding the circumstances of the discovery as investigations continue.
