Brian-Todd Anthony Boucher, the actor who portrayed alleged Jamaican gangster Claudie Massop in the film Bob Marley: One Love, was shot and killed in Waterford, St. Catherine, on Saturday night.
The 43-year-old, also known as “Ajoy”, was from Northport Way in New York. Police sources said he had arrived in Jamaica just hours before the fatal attack.
According to investigators, Boucher and a 37-year-old man were walking along a roadway when they were ambushed by armed men travelling in a motor car.
Police said one of the gunmen exited the vehicle and opened fire, hitting both men before fleeing the scene with the other occupants.
Boucher was rushed to the Spanish Town General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The second victim was injured and remains in hospital undergoing treatment.
The St. Catherine South Police are investigating the motive for the attack, and no arrests have been reported.
Boucher gained international recognition for his role as Claudie Massop in the 2024 biographical film Bob Marley: One Love.
