St Catherine, Jamaica: A 21-year-old bike deliveryman died from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident along a section of Pittsburgh Road in St. Catherine on Monday.
He has been identified as Tareek Jackson, also of Pittsburgh Road in Homestead, St. Catherine.
Reports from the Spanish Town Police indicate that around 3:30 p.m., Jackson was riding his green Zamco CG 200 motorcycle along Pittsburgh Road when he overtook a line of traffic and lost control of the vehicle.
He then collided with a garbage truck that was heading in the opposite direction.
Jackson sustained head and body injuries and was rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
