Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – The Ramble police in the parish of Hanover and the Bethel Town police in the parish of Westmoreland have now joined forces to apprehend a man who they say is the prime suspect in the murder of a 17-year-old girl in Argyle Mountain on Friday, February 16.
Bethel Town Man Wanted: Investigators stated that they cannot disclose the name of the suspect at this time but he is being sought for the murder of 17-year-old teenager Jaydeen Grant.
According to investigators, the decomposing body parts of the missing 17-year-old girl was discovered in bushes on Friday afternoon. The police theorized that her attacker may have chopped her to pieces and then dumped her body at various sections of bushes.
The investigators also stated that her death may have stemmed from an incident which occurred in the Bethel Town area last weekend involving her father.
It is reported that on Saturday, February 10, Grant’s father got involved in an argument with another man from the community. A report was made to the Bethel Town police that the child’s father chased the other party with an illegal firearm and fired several shots at him.
Following an investigation by the police, the father was taken into custody. That said afternoon young Jaydeen went missing from home from the community which lies on the border of Hanover and Westmoreland. The 17-year-old teen resides with her family members on the section which falls in the parish of Westmoreland.
Shortly after 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, residents living at the section of Argyle Mountain which falls in the parish of Hanover alerted the Ramble police when they stumbled upon the decomposing and mutilated body in bushes.
Officers attached to both Ramble and Bethel Town rushed to the scene and discovered that the teenager’s body was chopped to pieces and dumped in bushes.
The police stated that sections of her body parts and her hair were all seen scattered in the bushes.
