The St. Ann police are reporting that a man listed as a person of interest in connection with the shooting death of a woman in St. Ann, who was shot and killed while returning from church in Helicon district last Sunday, has been taken into custody.
The person of interest, identified as Randy Taile, is said to be the baby father of the deceased, 46-year-old Nadia Binns.
Reports indicate that around 2:00 p.m., Binns had just returned home from church and was entering her one-room dwelling when she was ambushed and shot multiple times by armed men.
The police were summoned, and upon arrival, they discovered Binns lying in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Following her death, Taile was listed as a person of interest. He was apprehended during a special operation carried out in Discovery Bay, St. Ann, on Friday.
