Kingston, Jamaica – A 23-year-old American man was arrested at the Norman Manley International Airport on Saturday after authorities discovered ammunition in his possession during a routine security check.
According to police reports, the suspect, a construction worker from Connecticut, was stopped around 3:00 p.m. as part of a stop-and-search operation at the airport. During the search, officers found four hollow-point 9mm cartridges in his belongings.
He was immediately taken into custody on suspicion of unauthorized possession of ammunition.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
