Jamaica Crime News: The Bluefields police in the parish of Westmoreland has now commenced an investigation, surrounding the shooting death of an elderly man at his home in Ferris district, Westmoreland on Saturday, February 9.
The deceased has been identified as 85-year-old Constantine Parkinson, a retiree of Ferris.
Reports by the Bluefields police are that about 9:30 p.m., residents living in Ferris alerted the police and they heard gunshots coming from the directions of the elderly man’s house.
The lawmen drove to the community and upon their arrival, Parkinson was discovered lying on the floor of a room in the house.
Investigations revealed that Parkinson was shot to his upper body. The scene was processed and the wounded man was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
