Former People’s National Party Councillor Murdered in St Thomas

Jamaica Crime News: Former People’s National Party Councillor Murdered in St Thomas – Detectives attached to the Police in St Thomas, have now launched an investigation surrounding the shooting death of a former female People’s National Party Councillor, who was discovered shot to death at her home in Albion Boulevard, in St Thomas, on Sunday morning,  February 10.

Dead is 67-year-old, Marjorie Morris otherwise called “Ms. Madge” farmer and political activist of the above address.

Reports by the police are that about 6:30 a.m., on Sunday,  one of Morris’s relative discovered her lying in a pool of blood on her kitchen floor.

The police rushed to the location and upon arrival, Morris was discovered lying on the floor of her kitchen with multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body.

The scene was processed, and Morris’s body was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Morris formally represented the White Horse Division as a People’s National Party Councillor for Western St Thomas. Her death has come just a few days after another People’s National Party politician, Dr. Lynvale Bloomfield was discovered stabbed to death in his home in Portland.
