81-Year-Old Woman Dies in House Fire in Lionel Town, Clarendon

An 81-year-old woman tragically lost her life in a fire that completely destroyed her home in Lionel Town, Clarendon, on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Frederica Williams, of the Lionel Town Housing Scheme.

Reports indicate that around 12:45 a.m., residents noticed the house engulfed in flames and alerted the police. The fire department was called to the scene, where firefighters conducted cooling-down operations.

After extinguishing the blaze and searching the debris, the charred remains of Frederica Williams were discovered. The remains have been removed to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.
