Detectives from the Clarks Town Police Station in Trelawny have taken swift action, charging a 60-year-old man with the murder of his 59-year-old cousin following a tragic incident that unfolded in the Sherwood district.
The suspect, identified as Roy Rose, also known as ‘Mafia’, a farmer of Sherwood district, Clarks Town, allegedly entered the home of his cousin on Sunday, February 18. Using a machete, Rose inflicted several wounds to the head of the victim, identified as William Jenkins, who was also a farmer residing in Sherwood district.
Following the heinous act, Rose voluntarily surrendered himself to the authorities. Subsequently, he was formally charged with murder by the Clarks Town Police.
