Jamaica Crime News, Manchester: The Narcotics Police seized compressed ganja weighing approximately 2500 pounds in Gut River, Manchester on Friday, September 28.
No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.
Reports by the police are that about 1:00 p.m. on Friday, detectives attached to the Narcotics Division carried out an operation in a vegetated area in Gut River District.
During a search of the field, the lawmen stumbled upon 27 knitted plastic bag containing the compressed ganja.
The drug is estimated at a street value of Jamaican $10 million.
