St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – 2 Million Dollars Seized: The Joint Military as part of the State of Emergency in Tuesday afternoon seized cash amounting to over 2.4 million dollars at a house at a section of Salt Spring in St James known as Bottom Pen.

One female was also taken into custody in connection with the seizure.

Reports are that shortly after 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday,  the Joint military team carried out several raids at a number of houses in Bottom Pen.  During the operation, a house was searched which yielded in the discovery of the cash.

1.4 Million Jamaica Dollars,  8,400 American currency along with two cellphones were seized.

The security team after questioning the female who was at the house took her into custody based on the fact that she could not give legal account for having the cash in her possession.

Investigations are now being carried out into the find and the female is also now being interrogated.
