1st Murder in 2017 for St. Thomas – Bartender’s Throat Slashed

St. Thomas, Jamaica (McN) – St. Thomas records the first murder of 2017, with a 36-year-old bartender’s death, after her throat was allegedly slashed.

Reports reaching McKoy’s News are, that allegedly, 36-year-old Kerron Peckoo (known as “Coolie”) of Duckensfield District, Golden Grove, St Thomas finished her bar-tending shift at her workplace in the Hampton Court District, around 11 pm and headed home on foot.

Peckoo was allegedly pounced on during her walk home, and attacked by a man who slashed her throat.

Peckoo was taken to the hospital by residents – where she was pronounced dead.

Reports are that the Golden Grove Police have identified a suspect believed to be the father of Peckoo’s child, who is now in Police custody, undergoing investigations.
