Black River, St Elizabeth – An 18-year-old woman lost her life on Saturday night following a multi-vehicle crash involving two motorcycles and a car on Central Road in Black River.
The deceased has been identified as Taylor Miller, a student of the HEART/NSTA Trust.
According to police reports, the accident occurred around 7:50 p.m. when the motorcycle Miller was traveling on lost control while negotiating a corner. The bike fell, crashing into a Toyota Corolla, and Miller was thrown from the motorcycle upon impact.
A second motorcycle, unable to avoid the wreckage, then collided with the fallen bike, adding to the severity of the crash.
Miller was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. The other motorcyclist was hospitalized.
Investigations into the fatal crash are ongoing. Authorities continue to urge motorcyclists to exercise caution on the roads.
