15-Year-Old Charged with Stabbing Murder of 16-Year-Old Student in Spanish Town

The Spanish Town police report that a 15-year-old student has been charged with the stabbing murder of another 16-year-old student during a dispute in Spanish Town, St. Catherine, last Wednesday.

The deceased student has been identified as Zavear Edwards of Eddiston Boulevard, Spanish Town, in St. Catherine.

Reports indicate that around 8:00 pm, both boys got involved in an argument along Eddiston Boulevard, during which the younger teen used a knife to inflict a stab wound to the other boy’s upper body.

Edwards was rushed to the hospital, where he was treated and admitted in critical condition, but later succumbed to his injuries.

Following an investigation by the police, the accused was arrested and subsequently charged.
