Thirteen persons were taken into custody by the Westmoreland police, following the seizure of an illegal firearm in Grange Hill, Westmoreland, on Saturday.
Reports by the Savanna-la-mar police are that about 12:45am, an operation was carried out at a premises occupied by the 13 accused, and a Single Action Browning Pistol, fitted with a magazine containing eight live rounds found in a garbage bin in the bathroom of the house.
Twelve males, and a female were taken into custody for questioning.
