Latest Jamaica News, St James (McKoy’s News): A suspect who pulled a firearm at another man and attempted to shoot him is now under police guard nursing chop wounds. The suspect, whose identity is being withheld pending investigation, is now nursing chop wounds after an altercation with another man in the Richmond Hill community, St. James.
Police reports are that about 8:15 am, a confrontation developed between two men in the community. It is reported that during the altercation the suspect pulled a firearm at the complainant and attempted to shoot him. The complainant then used a machete to chop the suspect and the firearm fell to the ground during the alternation.
The gun, a 9mm pistol and two 9mm rounds were turned over to the lawmen after the confrontation.
