Woman Shot Dead at Church Entrance in Montego Bay During Midday Service

A tragic shooting disrupted a religious gathering in Montego Bay on Wednesday afternoon, leaving a woman dead just outside a place of worship.

Reports indicate that the incident occurred shortly after 2:00 p.m. at the New Testament Church of God Water Lane, where a fasting service was underway at the time.

According to eyewitness accounts, a man arrived at the church premises in a small van, exited the vehicle, and began firing multiple shots. The woman, who was at the entrance, was struck several times and collapsed within the church compound.

Residents in the area quickly transported her to Cornwall Regional Hospital. However, despite efforts to save her, she was later pronounced dead.

Community members shared that the victim was a familiar figure who regularly sold books outside the church. Authorities have not yet released further details as investigations continue.
