ST. CATHERINE, Jamaica — Detectives in St. Catherine are probing the circumstances surrounding the death of a 28-year-old woman whose body was discovered at her residence in Eltham Acres, Spanish Town.
The deceased has been identified as Annica Hamilton, a trainee customer representative.
Reports indicate that about 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, a relative returned to the house and observed that it was open, with the exception of the room occupied by Hamilton. Attempts to contact her by phone were unsuccessful.
Concerned, the relative forced entry into the room, where Hamilton was found unresponsive.
Law enforcement officers were summoned to the scene. Upon their arrival, they reportedly found Hamilton’s partially nude body lying on a bed, with blood visible from her nose.
The area was processed, and the body was transported to the Spanish Town Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Investigations are ongoing as police work to determine the cause and circumstances of her death.
