A woman was shot and killed by gunmen at her business establishment in Darliston, Westmoreland on Thursday, March 14.
The deceased has been identified as Suddean Hylton, 32, otherwise called ‘Piinky’ from New Roads in the community.
According to reports, three gunmen stormed into Lee and Chin Fashion Black Clothes Store around 3:45 pm, unleashing a hail of over 40 bullets at Hylton. The assailants swiftly fled the scene in a white Toyota Axio towards Bethel Town, leaving Hylton critically wounded.
Despite the efforts of relatives who found her lying wounded inside the shop, Hylton succumbed to her injuries.
The police, upon arriving at the scene, collected evidence including spent casings, bullets, and fragments, while Hylton’s body was taken to Savanna-la-mar Public General Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
