The Hanover police have made progress in identifying the victim of a tragic incident in Great River, Hanover, on Tuesday afternoon, where a woman was shot and killed by armed assailants and thrown from a moving vehicle along with her baby boy.
The deceased woman has been identified as 29-year-old Britanny Gibbs, a resident of Woodland district.
According to reports from the Lucea police, the incident occurred shortly after 1:00 pm when a group of men traveling in a White Nissan AD Wagon approached a section of roadway between Great River and the Woodland community.

Eyewitnesses reported that one of the men in the vehicle opened fire, fatally striking Gibbs before she was forcibly ejected from the moving vehicle onto the roadway.
Residents who heard the gunfire rushed to the scene and discovered Gibbs lying on the road in a pool of blood with gunshot wounds to her upper body.

Tragically, Gibbs’s infant son, believed to be about two years old, was found standing beside her body.
Following the discovery, law enforcement officials processed the scene, and the victim’s body was subsequently transported to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.
