MORANT BAY, St Thomas – A 28-year-old taxi operator from Whitehall, St Thomas, has been charged with the alleged rape of a teenage girl. The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday, March 11, in the Hillside district.
He is identified as Norrel McLune, otherwise known as ‘Zye’ or ‘Hawkeye’.
According to reports from the Morant Bay police, McLune picked up the teen while she was on her way home. He is then alleged to have driven into a nearby bushy area, where he sexually assaulted her.
Following a report to the police, an investigation was launched. McLune was arrested and subsequently charged on Tuesday, August 26.
His court date is being finalized.
