Westmoreland, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – Westmoreland Farmer Shot and Wounded: A 23-yr-old farmer was shot and seriously wounded by a lone gunman on Saturday night.
Reports by the Whithorne police are that shortly after 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2017, the farmer was travelling home in his White Toyota Voxy bus along a section of the Naggo Head main road to Forth Williams main road.
On reaching a section of the roadway a man armed with a handgun jumped from bushes and opened fire hitting him to his upper body. The gunman made his escape in bushes while the wounded farmer managed to drive a short distance where he collapsed and the bus hit an embankment.
He was assisted by other motorists to the Hospital where he was admitted and the police summoned.
