A Westmoreland man has been arrested and charged after allegedly threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend with a handgun at her home in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland, on Sunday.
The accused, 28-year-old Jahmeal Samuels, also known as ‘Jamie’, a barber from the Frome community in the parish, has been charged with Assault at Common Law and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.
Reports indicate that around 1:40 AM, Samuels went to the home of his ex-girlfriend and threatened her with an illegal firearm.
The woman ran inside her house and later reported the incident to the police. Following an investigation, Samuels was apprehended and charged.
