Jamaica news, February 28, 2018 – Volney Barrett Dies
Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Ace Western Mirror Newspaper Reporter, Volney Barrett has died. Barrett who resides at Cornwall Courts in Montego Bay, St James, died on Wednesday morning, February 28, at the Cornwall Regional Hospital.
The hardcore news reporter spent over 10 years employed to the Western Publisher Limited ( Western Mirror) located on Cottage Road in Montego Bay.
He created a name for himself in the media industry as an Entertainment, Sports and Current News Reporter. He also spent some years at the Mirror as a Junior Editor.
Barrett has been battling a serious kidney problem since early 2017. He got seriously ill in that said year and was admitted to the Cornwall Regional Hospital in mid-2017 where he spent several weeks in intensive care.
He again took ill earlier this week and was rushed to hospital where he died.
