Vybz Kartel Falls Ill at Kingston Nightclub Amid Health Concerns

Dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel fell ill while partying at a popular nightclub in Kingston on Monday night, raising concerns about his health, particularly due to his ongoing battle with Graves’ disease.

Sources close to Kartel have reassured that the deejay is “doing fine” after the incident, despite fans expressing worry following the circulation of videos on social media showing the artist being assisted out of the club.

In the videos, Kartel is seen sitting on the rails while patrons fanned him with rags. A club DJ was also heard asking people to give him space.

Concerns about Kartel’s health were first raised in May 2023, when it was revealed that he had been diagnosed with Graves’ disease, an autoimmune disorder that affects the thyroid and can lead to serious complications, including heart conditions.

Graves’ disease can cause symptoms such as bulging eyes, pain in the eyes, an enlarged thyroid, and in severe cases, heart problems. The condition can be life-threatening if left untreated.
