Jamaica Sports News, Montego Bay: The curtains will come down on the 2018 staging of the Victoria Mutual Building Society under 13 school football competitions this Friday, June 15.
The teams that book their places are Granville and Corinaldi Primary. In the opening semifinal played on Tuesday, June 12, Granville got past Mount Salem Primary 2-0, while Corinaldi edged Howard Coke primary 1-0. With a grand final expected this Friday, fans are giving Granville the edge with the versatile Leo Campbell who has been carrying most of Granville’s burden.
If the Corinaldi team wants to come out victorious, their sturdy defenseman, Matthew Wilson, must put out all stops to keep the attacking Granville forwards at bay. Fans are expected to turn out from 10 a.m. to see Mount Salem and Howard Cooke fight it out for third place honors.
