Victim Disarms Robber: One of two armed robbers who attempted to rob a man at gunpoint along Spanish Town Road on Thursday received the shock of his life after being overpowered and disarmed by his victim.
Reports indicate that shortly after 9:00 p.m., the male victim was walking along a section of Spanish Town Road in Kingston 12 when he was approached by two men who brandished handguns and attempted to rob him.
The man put up a struggle and managed to disarm one of the gunmen of his firearm before fleeing with the weapon, successfully evading his attackers in the area.
Later, he went to the police and handed over the weapon, a 9mm semi-automatic pistol fitted with a magazine containing eight live 9mm rounds.
